Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach

Thomas College, a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the North Atlantic Conference in Waterville, Maine seeks a dynamic and energetic individual for the position of Assistant Coach in Women’s Lacrosse. This is a part-time, hourly position that will assist the head coach in the day to day operations of the team and will adhere to all policies and procedures of Thomas College, the Athletic Department and all rules/regulations of the NCAA and NAC.

Operations of the program will include developing knowledge of and abiding by current NCAA and NAC rules and regulations regarding recruiting, eligibility and sport-specific rules concerning practice and playing seasons, maintaining knowledge of current sport game rules and changes to those rules as they occur, assisting the head coach with all phases of the organization of the program as requested by the head coach, including practice planning, contest management, recruiting, fundraising, and other responsibilities, conducting oneself in an ethical manner during practices and contests and demanding appropriate behavior from all team personnel, representing the program at department meetings and functions in the absence of the head coach and other duties as requested.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, prior intercollegiate playing and coaching experience preferred. Motor vehicle and criminal background record checks are required of all applicants.

Theater Director

Thomas College seeks an individual who is passionate about the performing arts to serve as Theater Director to the Thomas Players. The individual will be responsible for teaching and leading the club in various theater arts genres (on stage and behind the scenes), selecting plays for performance appropriate to the talent and ability of the group, directing the group at meetings and rehearsals, preparing two public performances – one per semester, and advising the Theater Club. This is a Part-Time, academic year appointment which will begin January, 2015. Public Safety Officer
Part-time Position

Shifts vary

Thomas College is accepting applications for a Part-Time Public Safety Officer. Officers are responsible for the protection of persons, property, and facilities of the College. This includes performing campus patrols on foot and by vehicle, completing facility security checks as well as response to a variety of incidents and calls for assistance. Applicants must possess strong written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to successfully interact with a diverse population in a variety of situations. This is a part-time position based on the staffing needs of the department and hours may vary from week to week. Opportunity for a regularly assigned weekly shift or shifts may be possible. Evening, overnight and weekend availability is required as these are typical areas of need. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, EMS or related field strongly preferred.
